16 Jan 2013 JSCA International Cricket Stadium to open doors BY Kath Hudson |
The new JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi, India will be inaugurated tomorrow, ahead of its first fixture on Saturday (19 January), the one day international cricket match between England and India. The stadium will be home to the Jharkland Cricket Team, the Indian Premier League team and Kolkata Knight Riders. With 35,000 capacity, the stadium has a main nine wicket match ground, an indoor residential cricket academy, 35 suites for guests and sports facilities for members, including a pool, spa, tennis and basketball courts. Unfortunately the integrated terminal at Birsa Munda Airport has missed its deadline, so will not be ready for the arrival of the English team. Close Window |
