Gym Group reaches final of European Business Awards

The Gym Group has been included among the final 100 businesses and Ruban d'Honneur recipients in the 2013/2014 European Business Awards sponsored by RSM international.
It has also been named as the National Public Champion for the UK following the first round of a separate public vote.
As a Ruban d'Honneur recipient, the company is one of ten finalists for The RSM Entrepreneur of the Year Award category. It will now compete in a final round of judging, resulting in 10 overall category winners to be announced at a gala event in Athens on 27 May.
The 100 recipients were chosen from 375 National Champions by a panel comprising European business and political leaders, academics and entrepreneurs. They will now undergo interviews in order to decide the overall category winners.
In the first phase of public voting, nearly 71,000 votes were received for the video entries. The Gym Group got the highest number of UK votes, becoming one of 30 National Public Champions.
The second public voting phase opened yesterday (14 January) and runs until 25 March. The European company with the most votes will then be declared European Public Champion at the same event in Athens.
