Deyaar plans US$245m development with spa in Business Bay

Deyaar Developments is to venture into the hospitality sector with the construction of a US$245m (£147m, €176m) combined residential and serviced apartment project, complete with its own spa facilities.

To be constructed in Dubai’s Bussiness Bay, the Atria will feature 350 serviced apartments and 219 residential units, split into two different twinned towers.

Other features include five-star spa facilities with views across the Bay region, a health club, three swimming pools and a luxury restaurant.

For those interested in sport, the development will also be home to basketball courts, squash facilities and a miniature golf park.

Deyaar also plans to include between 15,000-18,000 sq ft (1,400-1,770sq m) of retail space at the site, which is to be the first collaborative project between the developers and interior designers yoo Studio.

Work is expected to begin on the site's foundations in the coming weeks, with a completion date planned for 2017.
