EAS set to inspire industry attendees

Attractions industry insiders are gearing up for the biggest European event of the calendar, with the Euro Attractions Show (EAS) being held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in less than a month’s time.

Organisers are promising more than 400 exhibitors will be displaying their latest innovations and products at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Dutch capital. More than 100 product categories will be represented, ranging from rollercoaster rides to ticketing systems and everything in between. About 8,500 attendees are expected.

As well as the trade floor, a packed schedule of conferences, talks and educational programmes is on offer.

“The combination of expo and conferences is a very strong concept that IAAPA has applied for many years,” Karen Staley, vice-president of IAAPA Europe, told Attractions Management. “Attendees expect to learn new things that can be applied at their facilities. Through the educational aspect, the EAS offers information, inspiration and education.”

Lectures and forums from industry leaders will be a major draw for many visitors, and there will also be behind-the-scenes tours and special events, such as a forum for young attractions professionals.

EAS, managed by IAAPA Europe, marks its 11th edition at the 23-25 September show this year, and is seen by exhibitors and attendees as a key warm-up to the US show in Orlando, Florida, in November.
