US$35m Vietnamese resort and spa debuts

The Salinda Phu Quoc Island Resort and Spa in Vietnam has opened, costing US$35m (€31m, £23m) and located on 2.5 hectares (6 acres) of grounds near the sea shore and town of Duong Dong.

The 122-key resort features a spa operated by management firm Guru Spa Thailand. The spa has seven double treatment rooms – each of which have a shower, bath tub and a steamroom or rain shower. There is a health club onsite, in addition to a restaurant, lounge, infinity pool, bar and business centre.

Leisure activities at the property include snorkelling, diving, water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking and deep-sea fishing. There is also a cookery school, yoga classes and excursions to local pepper farms or to Ham Ninh fishing village.
