Russian town Omsk welcomes Ural's largest waterpark

The largest waterpark in the Urals region of Russia has opened its doors in Omsk, offering 8,000sq m (86,100sq ft) of jungle-themed entertainment.

Supplied by Polin, the climate-controlled Aquario Indoor Aquapark features seven waterslides for adults and five water-based attractions for young children, as well as a wave pool and larger family pool.

Having used resin transfer moulding (RTM) for their construction, Polin’s feature slides at the park include the Looping Rocket, Multisurf mat racer, Freefall, Wave Slide, Body Slide, Space Hole and Compact Slide.

The jungle-themed structure includes interactive features to keep children entertained, with kid’s attractions including tipping buckets, slides, net climbs and water cannons, as well as Polin’s Rabbit Slide, Mini Rainbow, Mushroom Fountain, Dolphin Fountain and Elephant Fountain.

"Indoor waterparks like Aquario provide an opportunity for people to have fun together no matter what the weather conditions,” said Selim Doguoglu, general manager or Polin’s Russian office. “Unlike outdoor parks, the weather is always perfect inside Aquario. It’s a facility that offers entertainment for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest and for anyone, no matter what their thrill-factor level.”
