Australia's Gwinganna resort unveils new Meditation Suites

Australian wellness resort Gwinganna has debuted three new Meditation Suites, designed specifically to encourage mindfulness, meditation and yoga practice during a guest’s stay.

The premium suites are spacious, with an open-plan design and natural light. They're located close to a billabong in an area where wallabies are regularly seen.

Each of the three suites has a yoga mat, a meditation cushion and an iPod with meditation sessions and music. Five existing premium villas offer more space and privacy, including either a plunge pool or private steamroom.

The mindfulness and meditation room concept was developed by Gwinganna's in-house team, and designed by Sydney-based architect Pouné Parsanejad, who has designed all of Gwinganna's buildings.

Located in south east Queensland on more than 500 acres, Gwinganna again received the Crystal Award for Australia at the 2015 Wellness Travel Awards,. It has won the award every year since 2008.
