Music-themed Madame Tussauds coming to Nashville in 2017

Merlin Entertainments has announced plans for a music-themed Madame Tussauds waxworks attraction to open in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2017.

The 22nd Madame Tussauds worldwide and the seventh in the US, the new attraction will strike a chord in a city famous for its music, following the theme of “Soundtrack of America” – celebrating iconic musicians from past and present.

Among the 45 waxworks on display will be the likes of Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder and Johnny Cash. The museum operated by Merlin will open at Nashville’s Opry Mills mall in Q1 next year.

“We couldn’t be more excited to open the first Madame Tussauds in Tennessee in a little over a year,” said Ben Thompson, Merlin’s senior marketing director of new openings and acquisitions.

“This fun and unique attraction will highlight milestone moments from historical to contemporary music – both from around the country and in Nashville.”
