26 Apr 2016 Museum, organic farm and comprehensive spa to feature at Alila Villas Bintan BY Jane Kitchen |
Located on a scenic hillside location on the island of Bintan, the Alila Villas Bintan – a 14.4-hectare gated development with a combination of residences, boutique hotel, and a village with a museum, gallery, retail shops, restaurants and a spa – is set to open in mid-2017. The spa at the Alila Villas Bintan is designed to be one of Alila’s most comprehensive, according to Steve Jeisman, group director of Spa Alila. It will include a holistic experience that combines all-natural spa treatments with yoga, meditation and nutritional wellbeing. Alila Villas Bintan is a 45-minute ferry ride from Singapore and will include 30 residences as well as a 40-villa boutique hotel. Designed by Singapore-based WOHA architects, the resort is constructed to EarthCheck’s environmental standards. The four-hectare (10-acre) village is designed to celebrate Asia’s arts and cultural heritage and create a vibrant community loaded with arts, culture, culinary and wellness experiences. An Alila Cooking School, a living gallery featuring local and international artists and an organic farm will also feature. Close Window |
