Plans for a £17m leisure facility in the Borough of Croydon have been approved by local councillors. The site in New Addington will include a leisure and community centre, refurbished community space and facilities for sports, including badminton and basketball. Proposals for the new leisure centre include a 25-metre, six-lane main swimming pool, a learning pool and spectator seating. The centre will also have a café, fitness suite, sports hall, crèche and studios. The community centre will feature two multi-purpose halls, each with kitchen space, café, meeting rooms, offices and changing rooms. A demountable stage will be available for community shows. Borough councillors approved plans on Thursday. Close Window |
