Lightmaker Studio to make US debut at ICFF 2017

Toronto-based architectural lighting design firm, Lightmaker Studio, will make its US debut at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York.

The four day event will take place between 21 and 24 May, and will be held at the Javits Centre in Manhattan.

The studio will be launching its latest design, the Boom Chandelier, at the show.

A subversion of the traditional chandelier, the Boom Chandelier has an ‘exuberant’ and ‘unrestrained’ form. It features brass spheres designed to create a vibrant sense of movement, and a geometric base with pure shapes appearing to extend at random.

The studio will also be showcasing its Float and Curve designs.

Headed by Denise Murphy the studio uses rhythm and geometry to create its distinctive, modern designs, while vintage lighting forms and refined materials - including hand-finished brass, blown glass, polished copper and nickel - are used to create a sense of timelessness throughout the collection
