Invest in your employees – and your company – with FH Joanneum’s MBA in spa management

The FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences offers a unique MBA programme in International Hospitality and Spa Management, and for the first time, is offering substantial financial grants for students who begin the course this year.

The MBA programme is designed for people currently employed in hospitality, spa or health tourism, and the part-time structure means students can continue to work while they study – while gaining real-life insight into the world of spa management from top industry experts.

Structured on a flexible, modular basis over four semesters, the programme includes seven on-site learning modules in Bad Gleichenberg, Austria – at the heart of the Austrian spa industry – as well as e-learning that can be completed from anywhere in the world.

Courses are designed in collaboration with international spa and hospitality experts, with a strong emphasis on skills demanded by the industry. Participants are able to apply what they learn immediately to their career; graduates of the programme have gone on to lead spa teams at some of the biggest international wellness and hospitality brands.

“We work on both operative and strategic real cases, brought from our experienced lecturers, who come from a wide range of related industries,” says course director Daniel Binder. “Students have a chance to work on individual industry-related problems, including feasibility studies, business plans and market research.”

These real-life case studies, combined with the programme’s flexible schedule, make the MBA particularly attractive to companies that want to help their star employees move up to the next level.

“In every single lecture, we were able to work on individual questions and tasks from our own business,” says Olga Scholl, one of the programme’s first graduates.

The university offers business solutions for those companies interested in investing in their employees, and this year, is also offering two grants in the amount of €5,000 to all applicants who start in October 2017 – click here for more details.

The next semester begins in October, 2017 and applications will have to be submitted by 7th August deadline.
