WTS International launch search for interior designer

It has just collaborated with Philippe Starck on a luxury apartment complex in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, and is in the midst of planning one of America’s most hotly-anticipated wellness communities. Now spa, fitness and leisure consulting firm WTS International is seeking to expand its team with the appointment of a project interior designer.

The studio – which is involved with the concept design, planning, interior design and operation of leisure spaces – is seeking a creative individual to bring the spa, fitness and recreation portions of its forthcoming hospitality projects to life.

The role will be based at the company’s corporate office in Rockville, Maryland. Candidates interested in applying must possess a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a minimum of three years' experience working as an interior designer in the field of hospitality.

WTS International has designed a host of high-profile leisure buildings, including the newly-opened 6,000sq ft (557sq m) Ocean Spa at the Marriott Autograph Playa Largo Resort in Florida; the Spa de la Mer at the Baccarat Hotel and Residences in New York; and The Rittenhouse Club and Spa in Philadelphia. In addition, it has also begun a multi-million dollar renovation at the LOTTE New York Palace.

The studio has also created concepts for hospitality groups including the Cachet Hotel Group in Asia and YOO Studio – the real estate company founded by Starck and property entrepreneur John Hitchcox.

Working with development company Trillist, it recently devised a lifestyle brand called The Art of Living, focused on boosting people’s wellness through design.

Projects in the pipeline include a ‘performance resort’ and spa coming to the master-planned wellness community Lake Nona, outside of Orlando, Florida, in 2020. The firm has worked on the market analysis, strategic planning, programming and financial analysis for the 45,000sq ft (4,100sq m) spa and fitness campus.
