Golf leaders to challenge tradition at first Golf Business Innovation Show

The future model for golf clubs and businesses will take centre stage when leaders convene for the inaugural Golf Business Innovation Show in February.

Golf Business International announced it will lead a panel discussion at Celtic Manor Resort on 1 February, asking business leaders how the sport can find new revenue streams.

The panel experts will include Golf Business International chairman and Swan Golf Designs architect Howard Swan; Melior Golf’s Andrew Lloyd Skinner; and representatives from Huxley Golf.

The event claims to be the first conference and exhibition to “purely focus on diversification within golf clubs and business”.

About 300 senior decision-makers will attend from clubs across the UK to hear case studies and experiences from 50 speakers, as well as meeting suppliers.

“The show is a welcome addition to the golf industry calendar,” said Swan.

“It’s the perfect audience for our members and chimes with the ethos of our organisation which is constantly looking to assist with innovative use of land, the creation of new revenue streams and future-proofing golf clubs and the game of golf.”

Golf Business International was formed originally as the Golf Consultants Association in 1999.
