Triotech to install 3D flying theatre at San Francisco's Pier 39

Triotech has partnered with operator W.A. Alter Inc to open a new flying theatre attraction at Pier 39 in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf.

The Flyer - San Francisco is an immersive experience that takes guests of all ages on an ride across the city of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Designed to give guests an insider’s guide to the San Francisco, The Flyer - San Francisco takes riders on a thrilling tour across some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, the Castro, Marin Headlands and Coit Tower.

Mix media production company Fly Studio worked on the production of the film which features state-of-the-art HD film footage - captured with drones and helicopters - blended with CGI, while Spitz developed the 1100sq ft (102sq m) screen, and AV specialist Christie supplied the projection equipment.

The ride also includes a pre-show experience where guests can pose for a souvenir photo and a gift shop.
