Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to bring wellness to guests in-room with new Grokker partnership

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced a new partnership with Grokker that will see the health and wellness platform deliver bespoke health and wellness video programmes directly to the guests' rooms.

Guests will be given complimentary access to a digital library of custom health and fitness video content that they can practice in-room.

The library includes yoga sessions led by author and leading yoga teacher Celest Pereira, fitness sessions with fitness expert Sam Skelton, pilates with Pilates instructor and lifestyle blogger Lottie Murphy, and guided meditation with mindfulness meditation teacher and author Mark Coleman.

It is designed to help guests stay emotionally and physically well while travelling, by offering them the flexibility to practice in the privacy and comfort of their rooms.

Videos include a five-minute meditation to ease stress, a twenty-minute workout to achieve fitness goals and a soothing bedtime yoga practice to designed to encourage sleep.

"It can be difficult to maintain a wellness routine while travelling", said Jeremy McCarthy, group director of Spa and Wellness at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

"Thanks to our collaboration with Grokker, we can now deliver extended wellness expertise and activities that our guests can easily access from the comfort of their room or suite."

Lorna Borenstein, CEO of Grokker, said: "Travelling is fraught with potential obstacles to health and finding the time and space to prioritise our wellbeing isn't always easy. We're thrilled to partner with Mandarin Oriental to make our behaviour-changing wellness content available in the hotel room."

The Grokker wellness programming is currently available at a number of Mandarin Oriental destinations across the globe, including: London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, and Shanghai, as well as Miami, Washington, Boston and Geneva. It will rolled out across the company's other locations throughout 2018.
