Shangri-La Al Husn to open Oman’s first L’Occitane Spa

Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa in Muscat, Oman has announced a partnership with L’Occitane en Provence to open the Hareer Spa by L’Occitane this month.
At the first L’Occitane spa in Oman, guests will enjoy treatments featuring authentic L’Occitane ingredients from Provence.
The spa will include four treatment rooms and a designated retail area, and will be modelled in natural tones and shades of lavender that pay homage to the colours of Provence.
Named after the Arabic word “hareer” meaning “silk”, the spa rituals will draw inspiration from the fabric’s smooth texture and lustre.
Therapists trained by L’Occitane en Provence will provide restorative face and body experiences that are designed to embrace the signature ingredients from L’Occitane: immortelle from Corsica, lavender and almond from Provence, as well as shea butter from Burkina Faso.
The wellbeing menu will also include a signature treatment designed exclusively for the Hareer Spa by L’Occitane, featuring a traditional endemic ingredient from Oman: honey. The “Omani Honey Heaven” combines a softening scrub with a deep relaxing massage.
“We are very excited to unveil the Hareer Spa by L’Occitane and introduce guests to a uniquely luxurious retreat defined by personalised experiences,” said Milan Drager, the resort’s general manager. “Much like the resort’s natural surroundings and secluded location along the Omani Gulf coastline, the spa will be an alternate sanctuary where guests can embark on a sensory journey of calm and connection,” Mr Drager said.
