More than 1,500 US museums offer free entry tomorrow for Museum Day

The annual Museum Day in the US, organised by the Smithsonian Institute, kicks off across the country tomorrow (22 September), with more than 1,500 attractions offering free entry during the event.

Participating institutions across the country will provide free entry to anybody that presents a Museum Day ticket, which are available via the Smithsonian Magazine website.

Miami’s Zoo Miami, New York’s Cooper Hewitt Museum and the African American Museum in Philadelphia are all taking part in the event and offering free entry.

Museum Day is an annual event run by the firm’s Smithsonian Magazine publication to celebrate attractions across the US, which the magazine calls “an annual celebration of boundless curiosity”.

Attractions in all 50 US states will be offering free entry. The full list of participating institutions can be found here.
