Montage to open £350m “mountain paradise” in Montana

Montage International and Crossharbor Capital Partners have announced plans to launch a 150-bedroom luxury resort in Montana’s scenic Big Sky region.

The £350m (US$456m, €397m) development, which has been described as a "mountain paradise", will be based less than an hour away from Yellowstone National Park in the lofty Spanish Peaks district.

Among other things, Montage Big Sky will offer ski-in, ski-out access and feature 39 residences, as well as an on-site bowling alley, fitness centre, restaurant and bar, swimming pool, and recreation room.

Set to be cooperatively designed by architects Hart Howerton, Brayton Hughes, and EDG Design, the new destination will become Montage’s ninth hotel and its first to rise in the Rocky Mountains.

Sam Byrne, managing partner and co-founder of Crossharbor said: "The Montage will be the centrepiece of the thriving Spanish Peaks community and will also be a major generator of jobs and economic activity for all of Big Sky."

The resort is expected to debut in 2021.
