EMS-focused franchise operator Personal20 launches Lisbon studio

Boutique franchise operator Personal20 has opened a new studio in the Portuguese capital Lisbon.
The studio offers electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) training as well as group exercise classes across three disciplines – pilates, yoga and HIIT.
As part of the operator's holistic approach to fitness, it will also offer coaching and nutritional support for members.
The club will be operated as a franchise and is owned by entrepreneur Andreia Sequeira.
“This new concept is aimed and those who are looking for faster and more effective results, being monitored in a welcoming space by an excellent team of professionals," she said.
"This is the fitness concept Lisbon has been missing.”
Portugal-based Personal20 is one of the only franchise operators currently focusing on EMS training.
It has expanded steadily since its launch in 2016 and is set to open its 10th studio in the city of Leira in March 2019.
It currently has sites operating in Portugal, the US, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
One of the co-founders of Personal20 is entrepreneur Pedro Ruiz, founder of women-only gym franchise Vivafit.
