TRIB3 accelerates European expansion with second Madrid studio

UK-based boutique fitness operator TRIB3 has opened its second studio in the Spanish capital Madrid.

TRIB3 has developed the site in partnership with Holmes Place Spain and is part of a larger roll-out of the brand across the country.

Josep Viladot, CEO Holmes Place Spain, said: "We're delighted with the launch of our second studio in Madrid, our flagship store success in Cuzco.

"We are looking forward to many more stores in the coming months across Spain – and the reopening of Barcelona in September."

Rod Hill president of TRIB3 added: “We believe that the Spanish fitness market is well prepared for the boutique model which is changing the face of the global gym industry.

"The model works very well as a franchise and typically has a lower investment requirement than the traditional gym model.

"We have seen the development of the low cost and then the 24-hour convenience concept but we believe that the boutique model concept is set to explode globally most especially in Europe.

“We have an incredibly experienced Spanish team, all of whom have worked with the largest fitness chains and franchises in the world and who have a successful track record of developing fitness chains across the globe.

The news follows recent openings of TRIB3 sites in Finnish cities Helsinki and Tampere.

In total, TRIB3 plans to open 18 locations across Finland.

The group also has a presence in China and Russia.

TRIB3's boutique format is based on bootcamp-style HIIT training, offering group programming and interaction through digital and performance monitors.

The company was co-founded by Kevin Yates, Dan Summerson and David Cross at the beginning of 2016.
