Rudding Park expands Stargazing experiences to include winter dates

The Spa at Rudding Park Hotel, in Harrogate, Yorkshire, will expand its Stargazing experience to include dates for the winter season.
The experience, which combines spa treatments with stargazing to help guests reconnect with nature, will offer three dates/experiences throughout the winter.
Solar System Night, taking place on Sunday 8 September, will see guests exploring the solar system, searching for 'giants' Jupiter and Saturn. Using powerful telescopes, under the supervision of astronomer Richard Darn, guests will explore Saturn's rings and the cloudbelt of Jupiter, as well as the moon and its craters.
The Leonids Meteor Shower experience will take place on Sunday 17 November during the peak of the Leonids Meteor shower. Guests will witness spectacular shooting stars as well as other wonders of the late autumn night sky.
The Winter Moon and Christmas Stars experience on Thursday 5 December will showcase the winter moon, and teach guests how to photograph its craters and mountains using a telescope and their phones. Guests will also be given a tour of the surface.
All experiences include access to the Roof Top Spa, where guests can 'starbathe' in the hydrotherapy spa pool or outdoor spa bath, a two-course supper and a 'Discovering Astronomy' session, led by Darn. Designed for beginners, the session will be held in the hotel's cinema, with a starlit ceiling showing guests how to navigate the night sky as well as some of its more easily recognisable features including constellations, star clusters and planets, as well as aurorae and features of the moon.
Prices start at £299 per room based on double occupancy.
