Vivafit ramps up Indian expansion plans – opens fifth studio in Gurgaon

Female-only fitness franchise Vivafit has opened its fifth studio in India – a 110sq m location in the city of Gurgaon.

The location – owned and operated by master franchisees Manisha Ahlawat and Ajay Jain –
is the third in Gurgaon and will join other Vivafit gyms in New Delhi and Pune in the company's Indian portfolio.

Vivafit India is planning a "fast expansion and membership growth" in the country and has appointed Bollywood Actress Mandira Bedi as brand ambassador to help raise its profile.

The Portugal-based company also announced that it will begin widening its exercise offer, with a renewed focus on pilates and the launch of its "Sbarre" training, which mixes ballet, pilates and yoga and support and small equipment such as elastics or balls

Vivafit's franchised portfolio now includes 31 sites in Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Uruguay, Spain, and Portugal.
