Mirbeau’s European-style spa opens in New York’s Hudson Valley

Mirbeau has opened a European-inspired spa at the Mirbeau Inn and Spa in Rhinebeck, New York.

Developed and designed by the Mirbeau Hospitality team, the adults-only 12,000sq m spa belongs to the 50-room resort which is set across 2.8 secluded, private acres in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Set away from the main building with its own entrance, Spa Mirbeau has 14 treatment rooms, each with its own fireplace and sound system.

The spa menu includes Mirbeau Kurs, a European renewal treatment involving a soak in a mineral bath, exfoliation and a full-body Swedish massage, as well as more mainstream massages, body wraps, scrubs, and facials.

Mirbeau, loosely translated as ‘reflected beauty’, embraces French Impressionist art including “introspective reflection and elegance”.

Facilities include an aqua terrace with a jacuzzi, a eucalyptus-infused steamroom, Himalayan salt sauna, silent relaxation room, boutique shop and nail salon.

The spa is supplied by Caudalie, ZENTS and Elemis and includes Elemis’ BIOTEC treatments in its offering. The property also has its own brand, Mirbeau Exclusives.

Spa Mirbeau is also home to a fitness centre, with a separate motion studio for classes, including yoga, pilates and indoor cycling.

The Willow dining concept is available for guests, the signature restaurant of Michelin star-rated chef, hotelier and restaurateur Charlie Palmer.

There’s a spa membership – The Estate Wellness membership – available which provides exclusive spa access and perks.

The membership includes discounted treatments, dining and retail purchases, all-day access to spa facilities, six annual guest day passes and invitations to membership appreciation events.

Individual annual packages cost US$145 per month (£119, €132 ), and US$247 (£202, €224) per month for couples.
