Frame opens online studio – offers free membership for NHS, police and teachers

Boutique fitness brand Frame has launched an 'online studio', offering a selection of virtual exercise classes for its members to take part in at home.

The Frame Online platform has been designed to keep members engaged and will offer three genres of workouts with a "class to suit every mood".

The Sweat, Sculpt and Party genres are made up of 18 classes in total – and promise to "transport users from their home straight into the Frame studio".

In addition to the group classes, Frame will also offer personalised training via one-to-one private video sessions, which people can book with their favourite instructors.

Frame Online will also be made available free of charge to NHS staff, police workers and teachers.

"We are in awe of the amazing frontline workers who are working tirelessly keeping the nation safe," said co-founder Pip Black.

"We want to do all we can to support these heroes, who will need energising and bolstering – which is why we are making this platform available to them at no cost.

"We’ve already got 1,000 heroes signed up and counting!"

While Frame Online will be free for existing Frame members and frontline staff, new members can join for £10.99 per month.

"Keeping people moving in a way that makes them feel great has always been our top priority and it’s even more important now," said Black.

"There’s no getting away from the fact that this is a difficult time for everyone," she added.

"With the launch of Frame Online we can continue to dish out those sweet endorphins and look after the nation's physical and mental health from the comfort of their homes."

Frame was launched by entrepreneurs Pip Black and Joan Murphy in 2009 with a central ethos that keeping fit and healthy should be "fun, positive and never a chore".

The company secured the backing of investor Piper in 2017. In October 2019 appointed John Treharne, founder of The Gym Group, as chair.
