Chef at Velas Resorts will create recipes for you based on what you have in your fridge

Luxury Mexican resort group Velas Resorts has launched an at-home wellness scheme called #bettertogether for families during the coronavirus shutdown.

In the spirit of sustainability and focusing on nutrition, Velas has enlisted 25 of its chefs to create recipes based on what you have in your pantry. People can input their available ingredients online and the chefs will respond with a specially curated recipe.

The #bettertogether programme offers a range of activities for all ages to follow at home to stay productive and have fun.

The content is freely available to anyone online via the resort group’s digital publication,Velas Magazine, and its social media channels.

Content has been produced to suit both adults and children, with a specific section dedicated to wellness for younger people. The category features magic, arts and crafts and kid’s’ yoga, along with a colouring and activities book and how to make your own dream catcher.

Adult wellness activities include tutorials for guides to make your own mandala, back and shoulder massages, DIY body scrub recipes and feet reflexology guides.

Eduardo Vela, president of Velas Resorts, said: “My entire team and I at all our Velas Resorts wanted to do something special to help out people out, especially because we know the challenge of keeping the little ones in the house active and entertained. So, we thought, let’s share some of the best of our offerings and expertise that people can take advantage of at home.”

Velas Resorts began its journey in 1990 and now has a portfolio of six beachfront resorts and boutique hotels across Mexico.
