Myzone announces APAC growth plans

Wearable fitness brand, Myzone, has revealed aggressive growth plans for the Asia Pacific region.

The company, which is reporting 40 per cent compound growth in its business this year, has announced the appointment of Emmett Williams as CEO of the Asia Pacific region to take charge of this initiative. He will be based in his native Australia.

The move follows the appointment of two senior Myzone account managers in Singapore to drive growth.

Williams was previously based in the US, where he led the development of Myzone, working with operators such as Snap fitness, Midtown Athletic and Vasa Fitness.

In a complementary move, Mike Leveque, currently Myzone’s COO and based in California, will add the role of CEO for the Americas to his portfolio, to continue Williams’ work.
Williams said: “Launching Myzone technology with operators in the US and ensuring their gyms retain members has been fantastic. My new focus on the Asia Pacific region will enable the company to bring the feel good Myzone experience to more members in this rapidly growing market.”

Myzone CEO, Dave Wright, said, “Myzone technology enables operators to attract and retain members and it’s the leadership team that deliver these outcomes effectively.

“They have deep knowledge of the health and fitness industry, which means we can support our operator partners far beyond the system we provide.

“We continue to innovate and adapt, which ensures we stay ahead of the curve. During lockdown, for example, we dedicated time and resources to MZ-Remote, so operators could offer a world-first solution that allows instructors and members to connect and work out together from the comfort of their own home or club.”
