Opening date announced for Snowdonia’s new £1.25m luxury destination spa

North Wales is set to get a wellbeing boost next year with the arrival of the Wave Garden Spa, a new £1.25m (€1.38m, US$1.68m) luxury destination spa, due to open on 26 March 2021.

Located within the grounds of the Adventure Parc Snowdonia in the Conwy Valley – an award-winning adventure resort home to the world’s first inland surf lagoon – the 650sq m Wave Garden Spa is being designed to make the most of its natural resources and magnificent local landscapes.

Inside the spa, a fragrant thermal journey will welcome visitors with a vitality waterfall pool, steamroom, hammam and Himalayan salt sauna, all of which will have views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

Outdoors, there will be a warm hydrotherapy pool, loungers, relaxation pods and cosy fire pits, plus a heated sensory spa garden, a traditional wooden barrel sauna, fragrant herb garden and yoga studio.

The five-treatment room spa will offer wellness experiences supplied by marine skincare brand, Thalgo and Tribe517, a bespoke product line made in Wales using locally sourced indigenous ingredients.

Announcing the spa, Adventure Parc Snowdonia’s MD, Andy Ainscough said: “The Wave Garden Spa is the exciting next step in our plans for Adventure Parc Snowdonia to be a wellbeing destination, incorporating exhilarating activities and adventures with the finest facilities to de-stress, relax and rejuvenate.

“Our family-owned business has been built on our passion for the great outdoors, and our new spa fully embraces this with outstanding views, the sound of rolling waves and a stunning spa garden.”

Architecture firm Curveline Design Ltd was responsible for envisioning the spa.

Once open, The Wave Garden Spa will offer day, half-day and overnight spa breaks, including some exclusive adventure, surf and spa packages.

The spa connects directly to the new 106-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia, set to be one of the largest hotels in North Wales.
