Madame Tussauds moves Prince Harry and Meghan from royal family to 'Hollywood' zone

Waxworks of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at London's Madame Tussauds have been relocated to better reflect their new status.

Prince Harry and Meghan's high-profile – and controversial – departure from royal life last year resulted in their wax figures being removed from the royal family area.

Now, they've been relocated to a brand new Awards Party zone, alongside the waxworks of Hollywood glitterati and celebrities – such as actor Brad Pitt and footballer David Beckham.

As part of the move, the waxworks have also been given a "refreshed look".

The change was revealed recently when Madame Tussauds reopened its doors, following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

Tim Waters, GM at Madame Tussauds, said: "The launch of 'Awards Party' brings back the fun and excitement of a stylish night out that everyone has been craving since the start of lockdown.

"Ever watchful of the celebrity landscape we’ve also moved Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s figures to join their Hollywood friends, reflecting their new status on the world stage as A-list favourites.

“We’ve put a lot of thought into the design of Awards Party to really make guests feel like a VIP, experiencing a star-studded evening where they are the night’s big winner. The unveiling of our new Awards Party zone is just the first in an exciting line-up of launches that will set us up for an unmissable season.”
