Life Fitness and Pear Sports sign partnership deal

Life Fitness has signed a partnership deal with digital coaching tech specialist Pear Sports.
The move is part of the equipment company's plans to improve and expand its digital fitness offer.
The two companies will work together to integrate and deliver new technologies and services on and off Life Fitness equipment.
The partnership will see new AI-driven, digital coaching tools – designed with Pear – being added to Life Fitness's digital ecosystem.
Pear Sports is currently developing intelligent extensions to the Pear health and fitness platform, to provide personalised workouts, training plans and content to meet the needs of both fitness facilities and exercisers.
According to Mike Vanacora, senior director, global strategy and connected fitness at Life Fitness, the new applications have been designed to optimise engagement, make the exercise experience richer and more rewarding.
"To further expand our digital ecosystem, we're working collaboratively with partners to co-create connected solutions that motivate and engage exercisers, while fitting our customers' specific needs," Vanacora said.
"Combining the Pear Sports platform with the Life Fitness portfolio creates possibilities in terms of how we can coach exercisers, deliver adaptive content and deliver a consistent experience to exercisers everywhere."
