Wexer signs deal to reach 11m consumers via Opus Sport Australia

Digital fitness content provider, Wexer, has signed a deal to deliver its workouts through OS Fitness, the fitness platform operated by Australian telecommunications giant Optus.

OS Fitness content is available via the Optus Sport app to all Optus customers who have the app included as part of their mobile or internet plan.

Optus is the second-largest wireless carrier in Australia, with around 11 million subscribers.

Non-Optus customers can subscribe to Optus Sport for AU$14.99 a month, which also includes unlimited access to English Premier League football.

Sam Aldred, head of APAC for Wexer, said: “This new partnership recognises the value of world-class fitness content in retaining and acquiring customers not only within the fitness industry but across all industries.

"Our vision is for fitness and wellness to be everywhere, positively impacting people’s lives and businesses around the world.”

The Optus Sport app was launched in July 2020 and OS Fitness – the app's wellness element – offers more than 1,000 on-demand exercise classes.

Optus Sport is available via mobile and tablet, smart TVs, laptops, PCs and the latest Xbox One gaming consoles.

Optus head of TV and content, Corin Dimopoulos, said: “There’s never been more talent in digital fitness, and we’ve picked our content partners from the best of the best.

"We wanted to work with Wexer because of its expertise in fitness and technology, as well as its ability to deliver a large volume of workout content we knew our customers would love.”
