Gympass acquires Andjoy and 7Card as it looks for European expansion

Gympass has completed the acquisition of Spanish corporate fitness platform Andjoy and Benefit Seven (7card), a fitness subscription provider in Romania.

The company acquired both businesses from French-owned catering and corporate services provider Sodexo for an undisclosed sum.

Both Andjoy and 7card are big players in their markets and, combined, will add more than 1,400 corporate clients and 2,800 fitness partners to Gympass' corporate wellbeing subscription platform.

The move is part of Gympass' expansion on the European market and follows the acquisition of online personal training platform Trainiac in December 2021.

César Carvalho, co-founder and CEO of Gympass, said: “These acquisitions continue our progress, expanding our business in Europe as we continue to grow around the world.

“Andjoy will allow us to offer an even better service to our clients in Spain."

Gareth Welsh, marketing director and head of Europe at Gympass, said: "With a very similar vision of the world that does not yet exist, we are convinced that this move will help us to remove barriers to activity and promote healthy habits more than ever across Europe.

"In the past, they have pushed us to become better from afar as our worthy rivals, but today's news means that we will work as one in the future.

"Not only are we looking forward to welcoming the additional value and service to our community of Clients, Partners and Members – we really can't wait to bring their teams, ideas and passion onboard to continue the Gympass journey."

Gympass is one of the world's largest corporate wellbeing platforms.
