Freeletics launches Daily Athlete Score to visualise progress in speed, strength, stamina and skill

Freeletics has released a new feature designed to help users track their progress, visualise their fitness status and encourage training consistency.

The new Daily Athlete Score (DAS) is able to provide a "near real-time" status of the user's fitness levels, using multiple metrics and more than 100 different data points.

DAS summarises a user’s fitness level into a single descriptive score, offering personalisation within the Freeletics app and an additional way to measure progress, set goals and track performance.

Giving users of the fitness and wellness platform a score from zero to 100, the DAS charts items consistency, performance and recovery.

For performance, DAS calculates four separate areas.

Speed is calculated based on the time the user takes to complete workouts, while strength is measured based on maximum repetitions performed within one round for bodyweight exercises and the estimated 1 rep max for weighted exercises.

Stamina is calculated based on the number of bodyweight exercise repetitions performed (or duration, for specific exercises like Planks) within one round.

The fourth area, skill, is measured using the average completion rate of Skill Progressions including all steps toward a skill.

DAS will be available as part of the Freeletics Coach subscription.
