Corinthia Hotels names Kerry Turpin head of spa and wellness

Kerry Turpin has been appointed by luxury international hotel brand Corinthia Hotels to spearhead its spa and wellness agenda.

An experienced industry professional, Turpin joins Corinthia as global head of spa and wellness following more than two-and-a-half years spent as senior manager of luxury spa for the EMEA region at Marriott International.

She also previously held roles as director of spa and recreation for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and spa operations international business manager for skincare and spa brand ESPA.

Turpin began her spa career in operations in 2014 where she progressed through a range of spa leadership roles in UK spas, including Champneys Forest Mere.

Speaking exclusively to Spa Business, Turpin explained that her new role will see her help develop and elevate Corinthia’s portfolio of premium hotel spas.

Founded in Malta in 1962 by the Pisani family, Corinthia has grown into a multinational investor, developer and operator of hotels and real estate. Its portfolio includes award-winning hotels in cities including London, Budapest, Lisbon, St. Petersburg and the Island of Malta.

Looking ahead, Corinthia is set to expand its global presence with properties in Rome, New York, Brussels, Bucharest, Doha, Riyadh and new resorts in Malta and the Maldives.

“I’ve joined Corinthia at an exciting time,” Turpin said. “Its rapid global growth has allowed it to enhance its guest spa experience, develop new concepts and expand its spa and wellness offering.

“Wellbeing has become a part of everyday life and is no longer confined within the hotel spa. The planned expansion of our health and wellness services and creation of tailored luxury experiences will allow longevity and wellness to be accessible to all Corinthia guests from the moment they arrive.”
