Mauritius-based group Beachcomber Hotels has revealed plans to extend its portfolio into North Africa with the launch of a E40m (£27.6m, US$55.5m) resort and spa in Marrakech, Morocco. Called the Royal Palm Marrakech and designed by Mauritian architect Jean-Francoise Adam in collaboration with architect Maurice Giraud, work will begin later this year on the suite and villa hotel, which will include a high-end spa.
