02 Jul 2026 Corinthia appoints Peter Roth as president of hotel operations BY Helen Andrews |
Peter Roth has been appointed as Corinthia’s president of hotel operations. Roth, who has more than three decades of international hospitality experience, joins Corinthia Hotels Limited (CHL), the Corinthia-branded management company for the parent real estate developer and operator, International Hotel Investments (IHI). He will oversee the operational performance of the existing portfolio, while spearheading the brand’s preparations for openings in Italy, Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, The Maldives and Chengdu, as Corinthia pursues accelerated expansion. Each of these properties will have a luxury spa. Roth has described himself as a "lifelong practitioner of health and wellness". His most recent role was regional vice president for Jumeirah in Dubai. He was involved in the repositioning of the Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah when it introduced its 360-degree wellness programme in 2023. The programme involved multi-day retreats, sleep therapy and integrated wellbeing experiences. Before that, Roth worked for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts for 15 years. He became area VP for multiple brands across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia. He also worked for Four Seasons earlier in his career. Simon Naudi, Group CEO and MD of the Corinthia Group, said: “Peter brings a wealth of operational expertise that will directly strengthen our day-to-day hotel performance. His main focus will be on operations, service standards and profitability across our existing Corinthia hotels. We're delighted to welcome such an experienced hotelier into the Corinthia family.” Roth said: “Corinthia has built an exceptional reputation, and joining the Group at such an exciting stage of its international growth is both a privilege and a tremendous opportunity. I look forward to working alongside our hotel teams to strengthen operational excellence, empower our people and continue creating memorable experiences for our guests around the world.” The news of Roth’s appointment follows an announcement earlier this year that Simon Casson was stepping down as CEO of CHL. Casson remains a senior strategic advisor to the Corinthia Group’s CEO – Simon Naudi – and the board of directors. Close Window |
