Management partners at Virgin Active Italia
Cathy Desaunois has joined Virgin Active Italia as marketing manager, with a brief to adapt the brand to suit the Italian market during the company's expansion into Genova and Bologna.
American-born Desaunois moved to Italy 18 months ago to take up the role of European marketing manager for Fitness First, after 13 years in Holland. Desaunois's partner Luca Valotta was recently appointed managing director of Virgin Active Italia.
Desaunois has 11 years’ marketing experience and is also a Reebok Master Trainer, a qualified personal trainer, an aerobics instructor, a certified lifeguard and a swim instructor.
Before joining Virgin Active Italia, Valotta spent seven years with Fitness First, before becoming managing director of Fitness First Italia, where he was responsible for setting up 13 clubs in 18 months.
