Beefeater revamp

Whitbread has announced that, instead of axing its beefeater restaurant chain, it will instead be revamping the 30-year-old and attempting a complete repositioning of the Beefeater brand.

The revamping will eventually take in 150 sites at an approximate cost of £42m but the Beefeater name will remain the same.

Following a successful trial with an initial six sites, another six converted sites are now open and there are plans to convert a further eight by the end of the financial year.
