Health and safety manager for SLM

Sport and Leisure Management (SLM) has appointed a national health and safety training manager.
Martin Baker will work to raise lifeguarding standards across 30 pools through SLM’s Lifeguard Training and Competency Assessment Procedure, and its Training and Competency Assessment Plan.
He will also run a national programme of training courses focusing on creating new trainer assessors at each site and delivering the National Pool Lifeguard Qualifications (NPLQ), and plan first aid at work qualifications and pool plant operators certificates.
