14 May 2008 Children’s Museum opens at heritage centre BY Tom Walker |
The Heritage Discovery Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, US has completed the second phase of a US$5m (£2.6m, 3.2m euro) redevelopment programme. As part of phase II, the centre has launched a new attraction, called Johnstown Children’s Museum, located on the centre’s third floor. To keep the centre open during the construction work, the centre has located all of its exhibitions on the first two floors of the building, below the new children’s museum. Other new facilities include a cafe, rooftop terrace (pictured), and the "Mystery of Steel" interactive exhibit, which will open later in 2008. Close Window |
