![]() P&O Australian Resorts and the Authentic Outback Experience are to jointly open a £1.7m (A$4.1m) premium outback station in Australia’s Queensland, 186 miles west of Cairns. Wrotham Park Station, set on a 1.5 million acre property, is to be transformed into a resort comprising of a homestead with a swimming pool and ten guest quarters, situated on the banks of the Mitchell River. The station will cater for 20 guests at a time with the price of £345 (A$800) per night including accommodation, all meals and drinks and selected activities – which could include wildlife walks, canoeing and stargazing. Guests will also get to experience the daily workings of an authentic cattle station. The Authentic Outback Experience is a joint venture between the Australian Agricultural Company and RM Williams Holdings. The resort will be operated in partnership by P&O and RM Williams and is expected to open in August this year. Close Window |
