08 Jul 2008 Oakwood Leisure admits safety failings BY Tom Walker |
Oakwood Leisure, the operator of Oakwood Theme Park in Pembrokeshire, Wales, has pleaded guilty to a health and safety charge over the death of a teenage girl at the park in 2004. The company admitted a charge of failing to ensure persons not in its employment were not exposed to risks to their health and safety. Following the plea, magistrates at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court adjourned the case to Swansea Crown Court for sentencing on 8 August. Oakwood Leisure was taken over by Spanish visitor attraction operator Aspro in March. Close Window |
