Mandarin reveals Bermuda spa plans

Mandarin reveals Bermuda spa plans

Mandarin-Oriental Hotel Group has announced it will open a $2m (£1.1m) destination spa at its Elbow Beach resort.

Opening in June 2004, the 3,600sq ft spa will offer traditional treatments in six therapy rooms.

Although the treatments, provided by E’SPA, will be based on Asian therapies, Mandarin is currently developing a unique range of Bermudan treatments to enhance its existing range of amenities.

Facilities will include a steamroom, luxurious granite soaking tubs and a 20m swimming pool.

Kendaree Burgess-Fairn, spokesperson for Elbow Beach, said: “The spa will incorporate traditional Bermudan remedies with time-honoured techniques from around the world. We are looking forward to offering spa experiences that are uniquely local.”

An award-winning resort on the island of Bermuda, Elbow Beach is spread over 50 acres of tropical gardens and has 235 rooms.
