26 Aug 2008 Stansted inquiry start date announced BY Pete Hayman |
A public inquiry looking at plans for a proposed second runway at Stansted Airport, Essex, will start in April next year. The Planning Inspectorate has confirmed that inquiry into the planning application made by the airport's owner BAA in March will start on 15 April, after the plans were called in by communities secretary Hazel Blears. Conducting the inquiry will be inspector Andrew Phillipson, with Stephanie Chivers acting as deputy. The results of a separate public inquiry into Uttlesford District Council's decision to reject BAA's application to remove an annual limit on passenger numbers are expected this Autumn. Close Window |
