Mandara to operate Hideaway Spa in the Maldives

Asian spa operator, Mandara Spa, is to develop and operate a luxury spa at the new Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort and Marina.

The spa is scheduled to open in December this year and will be Mandara’s eighth in the Maldives.

The Hideaway Spa by Mandara will offer eight treatment areas, each with its own private steamroom and relaxation areas; a private consultation room; a manicure and pedicure salon and a retail area.

The spa menu will combine traditional Asian favourites with Elemis Spa therapy and new treatments which reflect themes of the ocean, nature and indigenous Maldivans.

Mandara, which is investing US$400,000 in the spa, will also create a variety of villas for spa guests.

Two Spa Water Villas will be set over the lagoon, each with their own ocean-view treatment rooms, outdoor spa pools and showers, sundecks, lagoon access, saunas and steamrooms.

Two lagoon Spa Pavilions will offer private ocean views, double treatment rooms, en-suite bathrooms with steam showers, outdoor terrazzo dip pools, day beds and showers, personal sound systems and lagoon access.

Four further Spa Villas will be located on land but surrounded by waterways. Each will have an open air double treatment room, private bathrooms with steamrooms, outdoor terrazzo dip pools and showers and a private outdoor relaxation area.

The Island Hideaway Resort, on the private island of Dhonakulhi, North Maldives, will offer 43 villas in six styles, including a 1,420sq m Hideaway Palace as well as the spa and the Island Hideaway Marina.
