IAAPA opens Asian Expo in Singapore

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) opens its Asian Expo 2004 in Singapore today.

Taking place at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre between 13-16 July, IAAPA Asian Expo is the successor to the Asian Amusement Expo (AAE), the attractions trade show which has taken place for the last 12 years.

IAAPA Asian Expo will include more than 150 exhibitors covering over 2,000sq m and displaying products and services including safety consultants, rides, games, play equipment, admissions systems, costumes, IMAX films and water shows.

The organisers expect to welcome around 3,000 attendees, who will also be able to attend seminars as well as go behind the scenes at the Singapore Science Center, the Singapore Zoological Gardens and the Escape Theme Park and Waterpark.

IAAPA President, J. Clark Robinson, said: “We look forward to expanding IAAPA’s presence in the Asian market and providing our Asian members with easy access to the world’s top amusement park and attraction suppliers.

“IAAPA believes it is equally important for the industry to provide hands-on educational programs and the IAAPA Asian Expo will offer new educational opportunities for our members in that region.” Details: www.iaapa.org
