Irish tourism grant to boost spa

A privately-owned spa situated outside Moate in Ireland has been awarded over 700,000 euros in grant aid under Failte Ireland’s Tourism Product Development Scheme.

Temple Health Spa, which is situated in Horseleap, will use the funds for to add new facilities; which could include 18 new bedrooms, 11 new treatment rooms, changing rooms and a hydrotherapy pool.

Work is due to begin in September 2004 with the extension opened to the public by the end of 2005.

The spa was one of 12 projects that will receive funding under the Failte Ireland scheme. Details: www.templespa.ie
