Osteria dell’Arancio brings Italian experience to King’s road

Osteria dell’Arancio brings Italian experience to King’s road

An acclaimed restaurant in Italy, Michele Alesiani’s Osteria dell’Arancio is to open a second site next month, in London’s King’s Road.

The 1,500sq ft Osteria will cover two floors; a lunchtime salumi and cheese bar downstairs and a 40-cover restaurant above.

The restaurant aims to reflect Italian hospitality with a “relaxed approach to ordering and billing”. Head chef, Massimo Garofoli, describes his food as “technical yet traditional”.

Alongside the relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant’s concept relies heavily on the Italian wine list, which features unique wines imported directly from Italy.

The style for the ground floor is designed to look homely, with reclaimed and mis-matched furniture, whereas the second floor has a more uniform style.

Vittoria Facchini, a renowned Italian artist and cartoonist, has been commissioned to provide artwork for the walls.
