Uruguayan football league resumes

The Association Uruguaya de Futbol (AUF) and the Ministerio del Interior y Turismo y Deporte have reached an agreement that will see the country's professional football league return to full swing.
The competition was brought to a halt after crowd violence marred the top of the table clash between Danubio and Nacional last month.
The AUF has now been given the green light to resume operating the league following a pledge to provide more security at football stadiums around the country.
